Modern Hull Design & Construction
The hull design of the X4⁶ follows the latest design philosophy which maximises sailing performance. Designed to excel in all wind conditions due to a generous sail plan coupled to a high quality mast and rig, including discontinuous rod rigging as standard. X4⁶ hulls are built with X-Yachts’ advanced technology, including vacuum epoxy infusion, and incorporating X-Yachts’ famous steel keel grillage to securely hold the composite lead/iron keel in place for outstanding safety in all conditions.
Intuitive Deck Layout
The deck layout takes a combination of the features from both her siblings; a self-taking jib is standard, with sheet handled by one of the halyard winches, and a mainsheet track is recessed into the cockpit sole with an 8:1 purchase traveller control system. Mainsheets are lead up to winches that are within easy reach of the helmsman. Large Harken self-tailing winches are standard, and can optionally be electrified along with one of the halyard winches.
Teak Decks
Teak comes as standard in the cockpit, on the seats and the sole, and is optional on the sidedeck and coachroof top, as well as on the optional electrical operated bathing platform.
Recessed track for selftacking jib
Designed for sailing in comfort and at ease, with a deck recessed track for a selftacking jib. The sheet for the 97% jib is lead back to a halyard winch.
Optional longitudinal Genoa tracks
2 optional longitudinal Genoa tracks on top of the coachroof allow the use of a 106% overlapping genoa, maximising the X4⁶’s light wind performance.
Dedicated Liferaft Locker
The starboard-side cockpit bench houses a dedicated locker which can accommodate a 6 or 8 person liferaft.
Lazarette Locker
In addition to the spacious sail locker in the bow, two cockpit floor hatches aft of the wheels give access to the huge lazarette, where an optional 5.5 kW generator can be installed.
Interior Craftsmanship
The influence of clean Scandinavian design can be seen throughout the interior of the X4⁶ being both traditional but with a modern appearance. The Danish quality craftsmanship is of a very high standard with finely crafted details, and showcases carpentry at its very best. The wooden veneer will be Nordic Oak as standard, with other options on offer.
Natural Light and Fresh Air
The toughened glass coachroof windows flood the interior with natural light. In addition to the large flush skylights, sections of the side windows are also open-able to provide excellent ventilation. Each aft cabin has an open-able portlight in the cockpit and additionally an outboard facing opening in the coaming windows. Combined with the flush skylight, the aft cabins have optimal ventilation, a great benefit in warmer climates.
Flexible Aft Cabins
The port aft cabin can be specified with an optional split berth, which can be easily converted between twin berths and a king sized double berth. Both aft cabins are offered with a high level freeboard shelve with stainless steel railing or a freeboard hung adjustable pipe-berth. Both aft cabins have large double wardrobes.
Technical Installation
The X4⁶ comes standard with an ultra-modern common-rail Yanmar diesel engine delivering 57 hp, and can be upgraded to an 80 hp unit. The engine compartment is sound insulated to ‘Super Yacht’ specification, using a heavy 8mm solid rubber layer, 50mm of sound deadening rockwool and finally covered with a perforated aluminium plating. All openings are sealed to eliminate noise. The engine is delivered as standard with a 2 blade Flex-O-Fold propeller to minimise drag and maximise sailing performance.

In the standard version there are 3 double cabins. Both aft cabins can be supplied with X-Yachts free board hung pipe berths. The owners cabin has an ensuite head compartment with adjacent shower unit as standard. Standard layout features a forward facing navigation station with full length sofa.

Details
Exterior
The X6⁵ rewards the owner with a deck and rigging layout fit for a king. Halyards and control lines are led back to the aft cockpit coamings, making for a clutter free environment. It is decked out with vacuum applied laid teak on sidedecks, all seating, cockpit sole and the inside of the transom door / swim platform. All pedestals have side boxes which hold the standard electronic throttle and any thruster controls as well as controls for the furlers. Adjustable recessed foot chocks also add comfort whilst under sail. Optional custom clear coated carbon pedestals and boxes with optional Ritchie 130mm stainless steel compass and wheel rim in high gloss varnished, laminated mahogany wood.
Custom Pedestals
The X6⁵ has exquisitely designed custom pedestals complete with binnacle compass, chart plotter box and integrated grabrail. The second instructive box is custom fitted out for each boat and the equipment on board. Standard pedestals in RAL9010 pure white. Optional clear coat carbon finish.
Tender Garage
The tender garage on the X6⁵ is big enough for a 3.2m jet rib and is completely water tight to the interior of the yacht. The large bathing platform has integrated fold out rollers and lowers 10 degrees below horizontal to make launching of the tender effortless.
Cockpit Table
The large cockpit table can be unfolded and lowered down to form a base for a large sunbathing area which can be covered with cockpit cushions. The teak top can optionally have a polished finish. The table can be fitted with electrically operated legs.
Below-Deck Lines
All running rigging and sheets are run below deck back to the 4 large cockpit winches, keeping the side decks completely clean. This reduces trip hazards and builds on the clean modern deck lines.

Directional and static stability. The stability essential to dragnet fishing, is excellent thanks to the convoluted tunnel and the depth of her keel, both of which provide added protection for the propeller. The beam of 2.6 metres gives exceptional stability for deep-sea fishing.

The Walk Around allows for quick and safe movement forward from cockpit to both port and starboard, making it possible to use the entire length of this boat for all situations, easy handling of the anchor whilst at sea where one often has to change anchorage when looking for fish, as well as being able to fish from all around the boat.
High quality interiors. Below the foredeck is the forward cabin with toilet compartment and hanging locker. In the main saloon, the helm station is designed with generous space for instrumentation.
